AEA-Europe council members met in the Hague on Friday 9th May for a highly collaborative meeting in preparation for the 26th annual meeting of the association which will be held between the 5th and 8th November 2025.
Council members met up with Rebecca Hamer and Anthony Furlong, members of the Local Organising Committee from the International Baccalaureate in the Netherlands, to visit the impressive venue and facilities. Mr. Petros Stratis from Easy Conferences was also present to help with preparations. The council meeting was attended by Damian Murchan (President) together with Cor Sluijter (Vice-President), other council members Alex Scharaschkin, Sebastiaan de Klerk, Elena Papanastasiou, Lesley Wiseman and Linda Wye from AEA-Europe Secretariat together with Stuart Shaw and Deborah Chetcuti who joined online.
Council members brainstormed ideas, worked on the scientific program and inspected venues for social events to ensure that once again AEA-Europe will deliver an unforgettable experience for participants attending the conference. This year’s conference venue, the Hague offers a unique blend of political significance, rich history and vibrant culture. A fitting setting for the theme of conference, “Designing tomorrow’s assessment landscape for positive impact on learning” which has already attracted a substantial amount of presentation submissions. This augurs well for a truly interesting and engaging conference ahead, with opportunities for networking, learning and collaboration.
